Legion of Honor Inducts Kathleen Jordan and Joe Nevin

Kathleen Jordan of Gensler and Joe Nevin of Bergmeyer were named the newest members of the Legion of Honor during the Institute’s 46th Awards Gala & Fundraiser held May 24 in New York City. Charles Sparks, FRDI, Legion of Honor Chairman, welcomed the new Legionnaires to the stage to accept their Legion of Honor medal.

Recognizing that the profession of Retail Design was driven not by business executives but by extremely talented and visionary designers, the Institute established the Retail Design Legion of Honor in 2000. The award, which was designed to recognize and validate that talent, was envisioned for the entire design industry, not exclusively for Institute members.

In that time, 39 men and women have been recognized by the Institute for a lifetime of achievement. They are now joined by Jordan and Nevin.
