Kim Helgeson and Jim Endean are 2017 Members of the Year

Kim Helgeson, RDI, and Jim Endean, two longtime members of the Retail Design Institute, are being honored for their contributions to the association. The announcement was made at the Institute’s Fall Board of Directors’ meeting in Los Angeles, September 17, 2017.

“The Retail Design Institute is blessed with many passionate, creative individuals willing to dedicate their time and resources to furthering the mission of this organization and to the advancement of our industry as a whole,” explains James Farnell, RDI, International Chairman. “Our Member Recognition program awards those who have consistently exceeded expectations by demonstrating their commitment and we are truly grateful for their continued support.”

In addition, Jim has participated as Communication Chairman on the International Board.”

On the recommendation of the Awards Committee, the Board of Directors announces creation of an additional award to begin next year. The “Certificate of Appreciation: offers each Chapter the opportunity to recognize one individual from either Student, Associate, Allied, Educator, Life or Media Membership level for their contribution to the Institute. Of those nominated and recognized within each Chapter, the International Awards Committee will select a single member in good standing for recognition with the Certificate of Appreciation.

About the Member Recognition Awards: Professional members of the Institute have a yearly duty and privilege to recognize those members who move our Industry forward and whose volunteer efforts are most supportive to our Chapters. The 2017 International Awards Committee included Committee Chairman James Farnell RDI, creative director, Little; Brian Dyches FRDI, director, REX Retail; Peter-Tolin Baker, principal, PTB Design Services; and Ken Fuller FRDI, ceo/creative director, Fuller Studios.
