XYZ Storage, Toronto
Ampersand Studio Inc.
Self-storage is booming in Canada with the competition becoming fierce. The objective was to rethink how XYZ, a 20-year-old self-storage brand, could elevate the overall customer experience and align with today’s customer needs and compete in this market. The Ampersand Studio team developed a clear, concise design throughout the space that helps customers choose the unit that is right for them. A clear wayfinding system throughout the facility that helps them navigate through when visiting.
The two-year undertaking involved strategic planning and redesign of the company’s brand and all its touchpoints, including name, identity, private brand, digital experience, retail store, private brand, uniforms, and environmental graphics with a focus on heightened customer experience for this Toronto area location.
The facility has five-story and state of the art drive-through featuring more than 1600 units, with an engaging 2,200-sq-.ft. retail space providing packing and moving supplies for purchase, a business center for business customers to conduct their business on-the-go. Polished concrete, bright lighting, and a fresh color palette throughout create an inviting, clean and safe experience for customers. This project received an INNOVATION AWARD for CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE.
