Dear Friends and Colleagues, Happy New Year to all! We hope that you enjoyed a restful holiday season, and that you are as happy as we are to close the door on the train wreck of 2020. As we welcome the New Year, we look forward to what this year will bring, to celebrating the achievements of our retail design community members, and to building a strong network for our members’ professional and personal development. We’d like to take this opportunity to introduce you to our New York Chapter Board for 2021, announce and recap our upcoming and past events, and remind you of the continued membership fee waiver. Wishing everyone a happy and healthy 2021!

In recognition of the importance of our future generation of industry professionals, together with The Planning and Visual Education Partnership, (PAVE) the NY Chapter hosted a virtual portfolio review for students. Students and professors from Fashion Institute of Technology, New York School of Interior Design, Appalachian State University and Howard University were represented. Following a presentation about the retail design industry, students were placed in small virtual groups with Institute member mentors to review and discuss their work and gain further insights into retail design industry.
