Burlington Stores, Inc. is seeking a Construction Project Manager who will focus primarily on the NJ/NY/CT territory, including NYC.
This position requires 5-7 years of experience in multi-site retail construction project management, and the ability to travel 75-80 percent of the time. The successful candidate will have experience with a fast-paced retailer, managing multiple concurrent new store and remodel construction projects. Also required is experience working in New York City and the boroughs, with a strong understanding of the unique challenges of working in the complex NYC environment.
The Construction Project Manager’s responsibilities span a broad spectrum, covering all areas of project management, project planning, cost management, time management, quality management, and contract administration.
Major responsibilities include:
Oversee construction projects from start to finish.
Coordinate the efforts of all parties involved in the project which include the architects, contractors, laborers, procurement.
Monitor the progress of the construction activities on a regular basis and hold regular status meetings with contractor to ensure project delivery according to project-specific schedule.
Maintain strict adherence to budgetary guidelines and quality and safety standards.
Conduct weekly/bi-weekly inspection of construction sites.
Ensure project documents are complete and conform to Burlington standards.
Articulate the roles and responsibilities of the external/internal team members and work with/through others for delivery.
Candidates must have at least a high school diploma, 7-10 years’ experience in construction, and 5-7 years in multi-site retail project management. Strong construction knowledge a must. Must be able to travel 75-80 percent of the time. Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs and web-based applications required. Must adapt to learning new technologies as needed.
