Hello RDI Northern California Members and Friends,
I’m Jesse Moyer, and I’m thrilled to introduce myself as the newly appointed President of the Retail Design Institute’s Northern California Chapter. With nearly 20 years of experience in retail design, I’m eager to bring people together, build community, and explore new opportunities to elevate retail design. I look forward to fostering collaboration, encouraging learning, and supporting innovation within our design community.
I believe that building a strong design community is essential, and as President, my focus is on creating opportunities for us to connect, learn, and grow together. Whether you’re a design student just starting out, a seasoned professional, or a partner supporting our industry, there’s so much we can achieve when we come together to share ideas, collaborate, and support each other.
Over the next year, we plan to host a variety of events, including store tours, factory and fabrication shop visits, museum installations, and virtual educational sessions. My goal is to make these events both inspiring and practical—providing insights that help us all stay ahead in an ever-changing industry. I’m especially looking forward to hearing from you—our members—about what you’d like to see from The Institute this year. Your involvement and ideas will be key to making our chapter a vibrant and supportive space for design leaders, practitioners, and students alike.
For those of you who know me, you’ll know that I love to bring a sense of fun and energy into everything I do. I’m excited to build a chapter where we not only gain professional insights but also genuinely enjoy each other’s company. Let’s work together to continue shaping the future of retail design and make this an exciting year of growth and connection.
