Members of the Canada Chapter have elected new leaders for the term beginning November 1, 2023, through October 31, 2025.
Mardi Najafi, RDI, has been re-elected for a second term as Chapter president. He is Vice President of Retail Strategy at Figure3, and a Professional member of the Institute since 2020.
"It has been both an honor and a privilege to serve as your Chapter President for the past two years. During this period, I have worked with a great executive board and chapter officers to increase our effectiveness, sense of community, and transparency," said Najafi. "During my time serving the Canadian retail design community, I have truly found something that I love to do. I enjoy getting to know more individuals every day, organizing events, bringing like-minded people together, and most of all, working hard to advocate for the Institute’s core values. I would like to offer my knowledge, experience, and dedication to helping our chapter excel and grow its outreach coast-to-coast by building strategic alliances with established design & trade associations."
Tracy Ho, RDI, is Vice President. She is the Director of Retail & Brand at SDI Design, and joined the Institute as a Professional member in 2021.
Natalie Rowe, Educator RDI, was re-elected Chapter Secretary. She Professor, Honours Bachelor of Interior Design at Fanshawe College. She joined the Institute in 2020 as an Educator member.
Christopher Henderson, Trade RDI is the Chapter’s new Treasurer. He is the Vice President of Sales & Business Development at Visual Elements. He joined the Institute in 2021.
