Members of the Carolinas City Center have elected new leaders for the term beginning November 1, 2023, through October 31, 2025.
Haley Ventura, RDI, has been elected to the position of Chapter President. She is an Interior Architectural Designer at Little Diversified Architectural and has been a Professional member of the Institute since 2018. Prior to her appointment as Chapter President, Haley served as Carolinas City Center Vice President.
"Thank you for electing me Chapter President of the Retail Design Institute Carolinas City Center. As a highly motivated retail designer with 13 years experience, I am passionate about creating connections between the design community, local retailers, and venders in the Charlotte region," said Ventura. "My plan is to build on the solid foundation that has been established through enriching educational opportunities and effective networking events. With my growing involvement in RDI over the past 5 years, I am committed to giving back to the retail design community and using my expertise to positively impact our local chapter."
Kiffin Lashua-Walker, RDI, is the new Vice President. She is a Construction Project Manager at JLL and has been a member of the Institute since 2019. Prior to appointment to the position of Vice President, Kiffin served as Chapter Treasurer.
Douglas Williamson, RDI, was elected to the position of Chapter Secretary. He holds the position of Planning & Development/Design & Display for Boy Scouts of America, National Supply Group, and has been a Professional Member of the Institute since 2021.
Ashley McDaniel, RDI, has been elected to the position of Chapter Treasurer. She is the Executive Director of Estee Lauder Companies and has been a member of the Institute since 2023.
