On October 17th 2024, the Retail Design Institute Canada hosted an unforgettable evening, celebrating the pinnacle of retail design innovation and excellence with a exclusive cocktail reception and watch party for the 53rd International Design Awards at the stunning SDI Design Studio in downtown Toronto.
Guests gathered to watch the inspiring live simulcast from the Triad Theatre, where RDI International President Cynthia Hirsch Oritz and International Chairman Ray Ehscheid unveiled this year’s most outstanding projects. The highlight of the evening was the announcement of the prestigious Store of the Year awarded to the Tiffany & Co., New York, New York landmark store.
The event also celebrated honourees who have made a lasting impact on the industry, including three new inductees to the Retail Design Legion of Honour, Fellows of the Institute, Aaron Spiess, Alec Zaballero, and David Kepron, recognized for their exceptional service to the Institute.
Guests enjoyed a glamorous evening of networking, light bites, and beverages, all capped with live music by Sofia Spilberg as they mingled with peers and celebrated design excellence.
