The Retail Design Institute’s Ohio Chapter is pleased to announce the election of its new Chapter Officers, with terms commencing November 1, 2024, through October 31, 2026. This skilled team of retail design leaders is set to drive the Chapter forward, fostering growth, mentorship, and a robust community for retail design professionals across Ohio.

Faith Huddleston, RDI, Studio Leader at NELSON Worldwide, has been elected as Chapter President. Formerly serving as Ohio Chapter Vice President, Faith is passionate about the intersection of brand strategy and design, bringing her experience in environmental design and visual merchandising to her new role. In her candidate’s statement, Faith shared her vision:

“Having served as VP for the past two years, I’ve witnessed our Chapter’s growth and momentum firsthand. My goal is to continue supporting and promoting the Institute at both the national and international levels, with a particular focus on mentoring college-level students and fostering camaraderie across Ohio’s design and architectural firms. I am excited to lead the Chapter as a collaborative place to learn, share, and celebrate our work together.”

The Ohio Chapter is also thrilled to welcome the following officers:

  • Vice President: Steve Calhoun, RDI, Senior Manager at The Hershey Company. Steve has been a member since 2020 and brings valuable retail experience to the role of Vice President.

  • Secretary: Fiyin Akomolafe, Associate RDI, who joined the Institute in 2024 and will contribute his fresh perspective and enthusiasm as Secretary.

  • Treasurer: Andrea Davis, RDI, Principal at NORR. A recent addition to the Institute in 2024, Andrea will oversee the Chapter’s financial initiatives with her extensive industry knowledge.

In addition, Laura Smith, RDI, Sr. Program Director / Retail Market Leader at CESO, Inc., will transition to the role of Chapter Chairperson, ensuring continuity and providing invaluable support to the newly elected board.
