Retail Design Institute Pacific Northwest Chapter Announces New Chapter Officers for 2024-2026 Term

The Retail Design Institute’s Pacific Northwest Chapter is pleased to announce the election of its new Chapter Officers, serving from November 1, 2024, through October 31, 2026. This team of dedicated professionals will continue fostering community, collaboration, and growth within the Pacific Northwest retail design industry.


Nomi Cooper, RDI, Senior Designer at Arcadis, has been elected Chapter President. Previously serving as Vice President, Nomi is known for her commitment to designing memorable spaces that foster community engagement. In her candidate statement, she shared her enthusiasm:

“As President, I’m honored to build on the work of our past leaders to strengthen our Chapter. Building a strong community is about connection, and I look forward to working with our exceptional board to host engaging events, expand our outreach to more firms in the region, and ensure inclusivity for all members.”

The Chapter also welcomes new officers to their roles:

  • Vice President: Astrid Garcia Luna, RDI, Design Manager at IA | Interior Architects. Astrid, previously the Chapter’s Events Chair, brings her extensive event coordination experience to the role of Vice President.


  • Secretary: Bob Ustanik, Associate RDI, Business Development at Visplay, re-elected for another term. Bob has been a dedicated member since 2019 and will continue his valuable contributions as Secretary.


  • Treasurer: Marta Abas, RDI, Senior Associate at MG2. Marta, a member since 2017, will serve as Treasurer, leveraging her expertise to support the Chapter’s financial initiatives.


In addition, Tobi Wray, RDI, Owner and Founder of Design Well Spent, will be transitioning to the role of Chapter Chairperson. Tobi’s leadership and experience will provide valuable guidance to the new board, ensuring continuity and support as the team builds on past achievements and advances the Chapter’s goals.


The Pacific Northwest Chapter is poised for an exciting new term, filled with innovative programs, expanded member outreach, and initiatives that will strengthen the retail design community. With this talented leadership team, the Chapter is ready to continue its tradition of excellence and growth.
