Innovation Award for Lighting
Yu Seafood is an established restaurant in the Toronto market. For its second location, the owners again turned to dialogue 38.
This site features more than 10,000 sq. ft. of dining space over two floors. The main floor houses a tea bar with take-out service for pastries, while the second-floor restaurant area includes a patio; a large dining room; and two VIP rooms that can be joined to accommodate large groups.
Design elements reflect traditional and modern aesthetics. The space incorporates natural finishes to create a warm and inviting atmosphere.
A striking marble bar introduces texture into the space by evoking the imagery of brushstrokes. These dynamic elements are balanced by lighting designed to create a soft and layered calm atmosphere that highlights the food on every table.
